Every community is different, which is why the views of Coldharbour residents are at the heart of this conversation.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is inviting Coldharbour residents to share what would make the biggest difference in their neighbourhood. Whether it’s more activities for young people, support for families, or a space for community groups to connect, their responses will help shape the community hub.
This follows our pledge of £1.5million towards a new community hub as part of our Getting Things Done campaign earlier this year. As plans progress, the council has launched a survey to ask residents how this hub should look, what services it will offer and more.
Councillor Anthony Okereke, Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich said:
One thing we’ve been clear about from the beginning is that this project should reflect community needs, but also what residents want.
The proposal for a new hub started with conversations we had with residents on the future of Adventure Play Centres and that’s how we want to keep working as we move ahead.
“Through Getting Things Done we committed £1.5million to giving Coldharbour a community hub they can be proud, but to do that – we need our residents to tell us what would make the biggest difference in the local area.

I’m so pleased to see this project moving forward. I’m glad to see the council working so closely with residents, community leaders and partners to make this a reality.
It’s now down to residents to help make the most of this investment, creating a space that meets their needs. I encourage everyone in the local area to take part in the survey, so that they can help create a hub that the Coldharbour community can benefit from for years to come.
Residents can also meet the council to discuss proposals for the new community hub and complete the survey at the Coldharbour BBQ and Jumble Sale on Sunday 23 August.
Held from 1pm to 4pm at St Alban's Church, William Barefoot Drive, Mottingham, SE9 3BP. The free community event will have activities for all ages, all are welcome to attend, to enjoy food and some light shopping.
The online survey launched on Thursday 30 July and is open until midnight on Sunday 6 September, take part online.
